As THR 's details reveal, the behind-the-scenes deal-making happened so fast, that it's all about dotting the "i's" and crossing the "t's." Further adding:
"Evans took a few days to think it over, and once he decided he was willing to wield the shield, negotiations moved quickly over the weekend."
When the news that Evans had been offerred the role hit over the weekend, there were rumblings of scheduling issues in regards to a commitment of his to another film that was to shoot this summer (at the same time as First Avenger.) Apparently, those issues were either worked out, or not as serious as they had been reported.
Either way, it's very likely that this is official. Can Chris Evans live up to the task of being not only the young Steve Rogers who seizes an opportunity for greatness, but also the same man who in The Avengers becomes the group's de facto patriarch?
We shall see...
